What sets the price in Mumbai

4 choices,
itemised on the quote.

Fronts
The single biggest lever. Systemat runs from price group 0 to 9 and Concept 130 from 0 to 6: melamine woodgrains and laminate at the entry, lacquer in the middle, glass, ceramic and real-wood veneer at the top. Matt and metallic lacquer are the most chosen in Mumbai; moving one price group up or down on the same layout changes the quote without changing the kitchen’s plan.
Size and layout
Parallel and island kitchens are the most asked for in Mumbai. An island adds base cabinets, a second worktop and often a second sink or hob, which is why the 12 × 12 ft Bandra kitchen with an island lands in the same band as the 17 × 12 ft Mulund one. Tall units (ovens, fridge housings, larders) cost more than base and wall runs of the same width.
Worktop
Quartz, sintered stone, solid surface or granite, chosen with you and priced as its own line. An island doubles the worktop area.
Appliances
Gaggenau, Siemens, Bosch, Miele, Liebherr, Asko and Falmec are on the floor at Worli, from a hob-and-hood package to a full built-in wall. They are quoted as separate lines, so you can change them without touching the cabinetry.
Always included
The cabinets leave the factory in Rödinghausen complete with their hardware (Metro drawers with synchronised runners and Tipmatic soft-close) and arrive in Mumbai as finished units, sealed for Indian climates with PUResist edge sealing. Planning, delivery and the written warranty (5+5 years on Systemat) come with every Häcker kitchen; there is no separate charge for the coastal-climate build.
Planning the budget

How to keep the figure
where you want it.

Fix the layout first
Bring the builder’s floor plan to the studio. The layout decides the number of cabinets, and that number is the base of the quote; fronts and appliances are chosen afterwards and can be moved.
Spend on the fronts you touch
Lacquer on the base and island, a lower price group on the tall-unit wall: the same kitchen reads the same from the door and costs less.
Treat appliances as their own budget
They are quoted line by line. A Siemens package and a Gaggenau package can sit on the same cabinetry; decide them after the kitchen, not before.
Do not economise on what is included
Hardware, edge sealing and the warranty are part of every Häcker kitchen. The quote shows cabinetry, fronts, hardware, interiors, appliances and worktop separately, so you can see where each rupee goes.
Questions

Kitchen prices in Mumbai,
answered.

How much does a modular kitchen cost in Mumbai?

A complete Häcker kitchen for a 10 × 12 ft room starts from around ₹12–15 lakh at the Worli studio. Larger kitchens the studio fitted recently, a 12 × 12 ft kitchen with an island in Bandra, a 14 × 16 ft kitchen in Andheri and a 17 × 12 ft kitchen in Mulund, were in the ₹25–40 lakh band. The final figure depends on the fronts, the size and layout, the worktop and the appliances.

What does an island kitchen cost in Mumbai?

The studio’s recent 12 × 12 ft island kitchen in Bandra was in the ₹25–40 lakh band. An island adds base cabinets, a second worktop and usually a second sink or hob, so it costs more than a parallel kitchen of the same floor area. Bring your floor plan and the studio will quote both layouts.

Why does a German-made kitchen cost more than a locally made one?

Because it is made to order in Häcker’s own factories in Rödinghausen, Germany, and shipped to Mumbai as finished cabinets, complete with their hardware, with a written warranty (5+5 years on Systemat). That is also why delivery takes 16 to 18 weeks rather than a few weeks. Our guide on how to tell a kitchen is really made in Germany lists the checks.

Does Mumbai’s humidity add to the cost?

No. Every Häcker kitchen is sealed for Indian climates with PUResist edge sealing as standard, and the written warranty covers the cabinets. The terms are on our warranty page.

Is the quotation itemised?

Yes. Cabinetry, fronts, hardware, interiors, appliances and worktop are shown as separate lines, so you can move any of them before you order.

How long does it take, and when do I pay?

Delivery takes 16 to 18 weeks from the order, made to order in Germany; installation is scheduled with you and the studio confirms the timeline in writing when you place the order. Payment terms are set out on the quotation by the Worli studio.
